It is disgusting

About a year ago, just before we moved in, one of the tennis courts in this complex was converted to a dog park. It's not big of course but large enough for dogs of any size play and run around in.

In order to keep it clean, two boxes with doggie bags were placed along with three signs urging owners to clean up after their pet. At first it was kept reasonably clean, with the help of the maintenance men who swept it at least once a week. With change in management that policy seems to have changed, and now it is up to the owners.

The result is disappointing, to say the least. Last night Reno and I didn't even want to go in there anymore.
Poop everywhere, you have to watch every step and it really is disgusting.

Why do some people have to be so irresponsible, rude and indifferent? Is it so hard to pick up with bags being provided?
I guess some owners are just self centered, as long as they get what I want, the hell with everybody else. This attitude is not just seen in dog parks of course...

I'm home all day and I really wouldn't mind cleaning the place myself. However, I think more owners would just leave it there since there is someone else who will do it for them.

I must say, most dog owners I know are just as disgusted as I am. There is just a handful that spoils the fun for the rest of us. When they get caught, a fine will be tacked on to the rent. It makes no difference to them, they rather pay the fine then spend 30 seconds to clean up. Some people I just don't understand.
